you’re perfect to me. always have been.

Finally, school-year classes were out at Sterling and the entire academy had started to settle down after the majority filed out for their summer vacations. While he would of loved to catch the next flight out of Seattle, he was one of the handful of students chosen to be a counselor this summer, so leaving wasn’t an option. Normally, he would of been bummed that he was stuck in the same place all summer, but really, how upset could he be when he was grouped to teach classes with all of his best friends? Not to mention the fact that he was rooming with his girlfriend for the next three months. Nothing could really make this summer any better in this situation.
Shuffling down the hall, Marcus made his way to the floor’s common room, two mugs of steaming tea in his hands. Hearing the soft hum of the television behind the cracked door, he already knew who was occupying the room at this hour. The same person that always did. Pushing the door open the rest of the way with his elbow, Marcus entered the room. The figure on the couch not moving an inch, her eyes watching another rerun of America’s Next Top Model like it was the most interesting thing her eyes had ever seen. Not even saying hello, he crossed the room, setting down his mug on the table beside the couch, and flicking on the light before picking the mug back up and sitting on the couch next to Rosie. “You shouldn’t sit in the dark. It’s bad for your eyes,” Marcus commented absentmindedly. Only then did Rosie break her gaze from the TV to look at him. Giving his girlfriend a warm smile, he handed her one of the mugs of tea before adding, “Black tea. Two sugars. No-calorie Sweet N Low. Just the way you like it.”
i’ll do mine if you do yours xoxo marcus
